Chrystal Hutchins

Chrystal Hutchins is a retired EMT. She starts her career in the medical field at the age of 17 with doing home help aid and one on one in a nursing home. She left the field when her daughter was born and started, he Associated degree in Psychology. Once her son was born, she became certified as a Patient Care Tech, EKG tech and a phlebotomist and started he career path once again in the medical field by working as an ER tech in Virtua Marlton. In her early to mid 20’s she decided she wanted to hop on a rigg and see why the EMTs/Medics she spoke with loved it so much. Since day one she herself loved it and became an EMT in 2012. She had worked with different squads in Burlington County (Florence, Endeavor, Palmyra and Mansfield). In 2017 she moved to Arizona where she finished her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In 2019 she was in a car accident causing her to retire due to injury and needing to work on her health. In that time Chrystal decided to get into a master’s program in counseling with the focus in Trauma. Chrystal just recently moved back to Nj and is working on her graduate degree with a graduation date of 7/2023! Chrystal’s passion is to work with first responders and veterans to get rid of the negative stigma of mental health and help! She is also coming back to the EMS world within the next year! During Chrystal’s time off from work and school she like to train her dog, visit her wife at the aquarium to play with Penguins and hanging out with her 19-year-old daughter, her 14-year-old son, two male cats, male dog and her wife. She always makes time for her friends in need no matter the time of day!
