Dawn Law

Founder

Dawn Law, NRP, has been in EMS for over 20 years. Her career started in the fire service as a volunteer Firefighter before entering into EMS in 1999. Dawn has served in multiple agencies in Gloucester County, Atlantic County, and Cape May County areas as well as a Trauma Tech for ACMC and a Civilian EMT for McGuire AFB. In 2007 Dawn completed Paramedic school through Virtua’s Paramedic Science Program and has since worked as a Paramedic serving multiple counties. After an extensive career in pre-hospital emergency medicine and watching the culture that we created fail many of her co-workers, friends, and herself, Dawn decided to shift her focus on finding answers. Dawn enrolled in a Peer Recovery specialist class through CARES and is currently certified as a CPRS for Addiction and Recovery. Dawn is also currently enrolled in a Certified Recovery Support Practitioner course through The Mental Health Association of NJ, to provide recovery support for mental illness. Additionally, Dawn has decided to return to college to continue her education in Social Work. In her free time, she volunteers with AmeriCorps through the RecoveryCorp program providing much needed services for Addiction and Recovery. Finally, in June 2021 with the help of friends, Dawn was able to launch Phoenix 3097 as a non-profit entity that provides peer support and education to all first responders in need. In addition to CPRS and CRSP certifications, Dawn holds certifications as a Recovery Coach, Trauma Support Specialist, Trauma Debriefing, Trauma informed Care, WRAP Certified and an Associate Neurolinguistic Programming along with several hours of classes in PTSD and Trauma.
